Solution – Isogon Marketing Training Package
VCS TIMELESS is a retail software vendor who supplies software and professional services to the speciality retail sector. VCS TIMELESS is an international operator with locations across Europe. , Their software solutions extend from head office to store.
They have a multi-channel approach to their marketing function, comprising industry exhibitions, publications, internet & SEO, direct marketing and so on. Their UK marketing department had utilised one of their members to undertake Telemarketing on a part time basis. The aim of this was to increase their presence in the UK, detect future projects, book appointments for the sales team and generally promote the VCS TIMELESS offering.
Having worked on this function for around 12 months VCS TIMELESS decided it was time to evaluate this area of their direct marketing. They needed to know where they were succeeding and areas they could improve and build success. Having already produced some great results and generally hitting designated targets, VCS TIMELESS simply wanted to take their telemarketing to the next level.
They decided to look for a training company that had experience of doing telemarketing themselves and the ability to train an experienced Telemarketer. Having looked at various training companies VCSTIMELESS decided that Isogon had both the experience and knowledge to deliver an effective and comprehensive training package. Isogon Marketing have completed over 650 campaigns, VCS TIMELESS knew that an agency with this experience meant hitting the ground running. During the process VCS TIMELESS met with Isogon several times and were able to meet with the trainer prior to agreeing the project details. Once agreed Isogon undertook a needs analysis and complete consultancy period. They spent time with the sales function, marketing and the trainee. Isogon Marketing aim to fully understand both the company and individual prior to recommending any training plan, each training package is bespoke.
Isogon Marketing concluded that VCS TIMELESS would benefit from initial classroom based training followed by a course of one on one coaching to re-enforce some of the new techniques and develop a sound structure. Isogon Marketing’s training comprised several different methods and they were able to adapt the teaching to the trainees preferred learning styles.
VCS TIMELESS said – “The training was very thorough and really helped me to develop my telemarketing techniques. Isogon always gave me feedback on each session and helped me with any areas I found difficult. The initial classroom sessions were great! These sessions covered the call structure and we listened to some live calls which I found really interesting.
I did benefit more from the actual calling and the coaching rather than the classroom sessions, but these sessions did explain each area in detail. Each training session was built around the techniques I needed to work on. The most beneficial part of the training for me was actually putting the techniques into practice and getting feedback from Isogon on each call. This helped me to see the areas I needed to improve on.”
Each session was followed by feedback and recommendations and this allowed both parties to monitor progress and evaluate the training sessions. VCS TIMELESS began to see an increase in the amount of contacts made, appointments generated and confidence grew within this function.
VCS TIMELESS said – “We enjoyed working with Isogon. They worked with us to help identify the areas of the telemarketing that needed improvement and suggested techniques that would help overcome these challenges. Isogon made us feel at ease when calling and really helped us to gather more information from prospects when making a call. Isogon are very experienced and really helped to boost confidence when calling.”
